ISA Cobra Ladies  finally get  their first win of  the  2009  season against the Mission Bears.  Cobras 29 Bears 0.   The Cobra  Ladies had 13 hits along with 18 walks to account for thier 29 runs.   Leading the attack hitting was Veronica Desangles with 3 hits  including a smash solo homerun down the third base line ,  Nicole Zatarain  with  3  solid hits,   Jane Nwankwo  with  2  good  hits,  Nancy Alvarado,  Yesenia Rodriguez,   Rosa Mae Latham, Courtney Clemons and Rebecca Lopez  also got on base with  each having 1 hit.  Rebecca Lopez  pitched a shutout for her first game of the season  with 5 strikeouts  and 1 walk in 3 innings.  Nancy Alvarado was behind the plate catching her first game of the year to compliment the duo. The big defensive play  of the game belongs to Yesenia Rodriguez,  she snagged a  hard hit line drive down 3rd base to preserve the shut-out  and end the game. Next game is 3-24 vs Balboa at Jackson Playground at 3:30.
